How to Find NAIC Code Number for Auto Insurance

Posted by admin On January - 31 - 2010ADD COMMENTS
  • Step 1

First step, but not that important :-) , understand what it is you are looking for. The NAIC is the National Association of Insurance Commissioners . Basically it is an organization of elected officials that help to create uniform insurance regulations, promote competition and essentially make things more fair for insurance policy customers and consumers. Your insurance company denotes a code to show they are affiliated with this organization

  • Step 2

There are a few ways to find this number (skip to step 4 for the best way). The first and most simple method is to simply contact your insurance company and ask. Personally though, I have better things to do than call my insurance company, they’ll probably just put me on hold, then try to sell me a new insurance policy.

  • Step 3

The next step in locating your NAIC insurance company number you could try is typing your insurance company name followed by “NAIC Number” in your web browser.

The moment you buy a car, first thing to think about is not getting a new set of mufflers, rims or spoilers. Think first of getting insurance because that may be the best thing you can get for your car at the moment. There is no limit to benefits you get from availing of a car accident insurance early on.

You have decided to get covered by an indemnity policy; first thing to do is to look for a reputable insurance provider. Normally, a car dealer will attempt to sell you insurance, whether for a profit or not. This is also trustworthy since no self-respecting dealer will attempt to sell a bogus policy from an unreliable source. Plus, you can always assert your rights against him should things go wrong in the future. Try not to get covered from agents. Go to the source. Although agents represent car accident insurance providers, they tend to exaggerate just to get you to sign. It is still best to deal with the company itself.

Thousands of British motor insurance policyholders could be required to take their cars in for repairs after Toyota announced that faulty accelerator pedals are likely to have affected cars sold in the UK.

Last week, the Japanese carmaker announced a recall of eight of its models after it was revealed that their accelerators could be affected by a fault that sees the pedal stay down and thereby prevent drivers from stopping in time.

And, though there has yet been any confirmation that the fault has led to any UK drivers making a claim on their car insurance policies after an accident, Toyota stated that UK owners should consider taking their cars in for repairs, though they will not be eligible for a refund.

A statement released by Tadashi Arashima, president of Toyota Motor Europe, read: “We understand that the current situation is creating concerns and we deeply regret it.

As well as Toyota’s Avensis, Aygo, Corolla and Yaris models, it has also emerged that certain models of the Peugeot 107 and Citroen C1, which are made in the same factory in the Czech Republic, are also likely to be affected by the fault. Full Article…

    Apprehensive About Comprehensive?

Posted by admin On January - 27 - 2010ADD COMMENTS

Comprehensive coverage pays for damage to your auto caused by something, other than a collision, with another vehicle or object. For this reason, it is sometimes referred to as “other than collision” coverage.

Do you need to include comprehensive coverage in your auto insurance policy? Well, that depends on how much risk you are willing to accept.

If your car is financed, there is no question that you need comprehensive and collision coverage. Nearly every auto loan contract includes a stipulation requiring the borrower to purchase auto insurance with comprehensive and collision coverage.

But what if your car is paid for? Do you still need comprehensive coverage?

    What’s Covered

When added to your auto insurance policy, comprehensive coverage covers damage to your auto caused by fire, theft, vandalism, flood, objects flying through the air (like rocks), falling trees, animals, lightning, etc.

The local authority will contribute £70 and the Derbyshire Road Safety Partnership will put forward £50 to subsidise each young driver and rider who joins the Institute of Advanced Motorists (IAM) with the intention of being assessed.

How to Get Good Premiums On Auto Insurance

Posted by admin On January - 24 - 2010ADD COMMENTS
  • Step 1

Have a good credit score. Unfortunately this is one of the things insurance companies look at when evaluating your insurance premiums. Insurance companies have done serious statistical analysis on this and determined that people with lower credit scores are more likely to file insurance claims thus making them more of a liability.

  • Step 2

Don’t be without insurance. By this I mean you don’t want to ever be without insurance on your car even if your not driving it. Whether your disabled temporarily, overseas, or just plain not driving it. This is because insurance companies want to see continuous coverage for at least 36 months before reducing premiums. The best thing to do in these situations is to strip your coverage down to the bare minimum. This way you can continue building your coverage instead of having to start back over if you cancel.

  • Step 3

    Know the insurance you’re getting.

Take Advantage of Free Car Insurance Quotes

Posted by admin On January - 23 - 2010ADD COMMENTS

Most any consumer guide of a state’s department of insurance will recommend that individuals obtain and compare the rates of multiple companies before purchasing a policy in order to find the most affordable coverage. The main reason that this suggestion is made is due to the fact that the rate that one company may charge can vary significantly from what another will. This is mainly because applicants have different levels of risk associated with insuring them and depending on how profitable a company has been with customers of similar risk, their rates will be adjusted.

Fortunately, it does not cost a thing to shop around and companies do not charge individuals for a quote. As a matter of fact, most agencies are more than happy to provide quotations in hopes to acquire new customers. Taking advantage of free car insurance quotes can also be the key to finding the cheapest policies from reputable companies. B
